Frequently Asked Questions
Trew Auto Body has been a trusted name in the community for over 40 years. Let’s find what you are looking for!
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can schedule an appointment online through our website or call one of our two convenient locations.
How do I know the repair status of my vehicle?
Once your vehicle is under our care, Trew Auto Body provides regular updates on the repair status of your car, ensuring you’re informed every step of the way.
Who is responsible to the repair shop for my repair bill – the insurance company or me?
You are. You may direct your insurance company to pay the repair shop directly, but the payment must be in the hands of the repair facility when you pick up your vehicle. Keep in mind, you are the customer and/or the insured. The repair shop owner looks to you for payment and you look to the insurance company for payment.
What quality assurance measures do you take?
Each service concludes with a rigorous quality assurance check. Our commitment is to ensure all repairs uphold Trew Auto Body’s high standards.
What rights do consumers have in California regarding choosing a collision repair facility?
In Washington State, consumers’ rights regarding collision repair facilities are up for grabs. Proposed Senate Bill 5423 states that insurance companies cannot require an insured to use a specific auto repair shop for repairs. Instead, the insured or claimant has the right to choose the repair facility they prefer. This ensures that consumers have the freedom to select a repair shop they trust and feel comfortable with for their vehicle repairs.
Are insurers allowed to pressure consumers to use specific repair shops?
No. While insurers may encourage the use of DRP facilities, they are not allowed to require consumers to use a specific repair shop. Consumers have the right to choose a repair facility, and insurers cannot require the use of a specific facility.
What is the best procedure for me to get quality repairs, quickly?
If necessary, make a claim with an insurance company, whether it’s yours or the other driver’s. Take your vehicle to a reputable repair shop for an estimate. Talk to the estimator about how to proceed from there. If you’re able to leave your car at the shop, call the insurance company to advise them of the vehicle’s location.
